
Church Hill/Crighshane Wind Farm
Church Hill/Crighshane is a 22 Wind Turbine Generator wind farm with an overall capacity of 50MW. Located in West County Tyrone, the project includes a 33kV sub-station, grid connection infrastructure, site roads and upgrading of 7km of public roads. Construction was completed in 2012.
Works carried out by Jennings O’Donovan included:
- Haul Route assessment at post planning stage and at post turbine negotiation stage, detailed design of all necessary public road widening and upgrading works over 7km, agreement with Road Service Northern Ireland and all land acquisition mapping.
- Preparation of budget costs and project profiling.
- All planning compliance works, including:- Article 3(4c) Private Streets, Article 78, and Article 11 agreements
- Preparation of Tender Documents for Balance of Plant (BoP) Civil Contracts.
- Management of tender procurement process, including Pre- Qualification under European Public Procurement rules.
- Construction Administration and Management for all civil contracts and budget profiling
- CDM Coordinator inclusive of the Electrical BoP contract and Turbine Supply Agreement.
- Pile Foundation Design, Foundation Steel inspections, and Concrete Placement Supervision, Foundation Sign off, including Pile Sign off.
- Reviewing payment applications, assessing claims and processing payment certificates.
- CDM Coordinator inclusive of the Electrical BoP contract and Turbine Supply Agreement.
- Managing the safety file through the project lifecycle to Client handover on project close out.
