Ard Nua Student Accommodation, Co. Sligo
Sligo Institute of Technology is a thriving third level educational college with over 7,000 students and is an important part of the educational infrastructure for the North West Region.
The Ard Nua student accommodation village was developed to support the expansion of Sligo Institute of Technology by providing high quality accommodation for students. The completed village comprises 132 apartment units and 27 housing units. It has individual groups of residences set out around court yards and spacious landscaped gardens.
The accommodation consists of a mix of 3 to 7 bedroom apartment units and 4 to 7 bedroom townhouses. Each individual accommodation unit incorporates single en-suite bedrooms or twin en-suite bedrooms. All of the apartments and townhouses are tastefully furnished and offer a fully equipped kitchen and living room.

Jennings O’Donovan provided Project Management and Engineering Consultancy Services to the developer throughout the Planning, Design and Construction stages of the project. This included: Design Layout and Preparation of Planning Documentation; Arranging Site Investigations and preparing Site Investigation Reports; Piling and Reinforced concrete design; Preparing Designer’s Risk Assessments; Preparing Stage Reports for submission to the Client; Cost Analysis and Value Engineering; Preparing Tender Documents and Specifications; Tender Analysis; Site Inspections; General supervision of construction including; Attending Design meetings; Preparing Construction Drawings and Specifications and Technical supervision of the Works Contractor.
