The Parsons Medal is awarded by the Irish Academy of Engineering for outstanding achievement in the Field of Engineering Sciences.  The award is in commemoration of the work of Sir Charles Algernon Parsons, the eminent Irish Engineer, 1854 – 1931 who built the first compound steam engine in 1887.   David Kiely, Director of Jennings O’Donovan, has been nominated for his outstanding and exceptional contribution to the practice of engineering throughout the island of Ireland, in particular, his unique contribution to the Renewable Energy Sector.  For further details of the nomination of David Kiely for the Parsons Medal, please click on the following link.
